The Tangram Puzzle is believed to have originated in China many hundreds of years ago. They are still used today in schools as an aid to creative learning and also by adults as a puzzling problem to challenge their minds.
This ancient Chinese puzzle is the opposite of a modern jig-saw. For the aim is not to find the one correct position for each piece, but to generate as many interesting shapes as possible from them. This set of seven tangram shapes is made in hardwood.
Using all seven pieces try to construct the examples shown at the back of the box, or develop geometrical or pictorial shapes of your own.
