The zoo is manufactured using environmentally friendly materials in Sri Lanka through a partnership committed to “Fair Trade”. The main woods used are Rubberwood and Albizia Falcataria. The Rubberwood is cut down when the tree can no longer produce sufficient rubber, and its replacement will have already been planted so that the production of rubber can continue. The Albizia Falcataria is one of the fastest growing trees in the world. After its useful life as a wind breaker on the hill plantations of Central Sri Lanka, it is harvested. Non-toxic paints are used on all wooden toys, many of which are hand painted.

Dimensions of the zoo are 23 x 16 x 5 cm when packed.
